This is no ordinary chai- it has astragalus- a traditional chinese medicine herb that is valued for it's ability to boost immunity, fortify energy and enhance resilience. This gentle, nourishing herb is restorative, replenishing energy when you feel depleted, worn down, or are healing from a cold or flu.
 
Warming ginger boosts circulation while easing inflammation, alongside turmeric root. Chai spices like cinnamon, clove, allspice and cardamom add a spicy depth of flavor you won't find from many of the chai teas at cafes (which often use concentrates and syrups). Licorice root helps coat and soothe the throat, adding a touch of sweetness. Simmering this on the stove also makes your house smell amazing!

*Preparation: Add 1/4 cup herb to about 6 cups water/ Boil for 25-30 min, strain. Add more water if needed.  *Optional: add milk/milk substitute and honey or other sweetener. Bag makes about 10-12 cups.
