Plant Walk: Unwind with Calming Herbs

Are you feeling a little frazzled lately? Does overwhelm leave you tired, but struggling to turn off your brain at night? Bring a little love to your nervous system, with calming and uplifting herbs! Join us in the herbalist's garden for a plant walk all about herbs to help you unwind, relax, and sleep better. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, insomnia or burn-out, herbs offer us a gentle way to calm and nourish our nervous systems. On this plant walk, you’ll learn about plants that can help quiet a racing mind, soothe an anxious heart, promote joy, ease burn-out and help you sleep. You may even find an herbal ally you feel particularly drawn to connect with! After our plant walk, we’ll cool off indoors with an iced herbal beverage from the garden. We’ll discuss herbal safety, sourcing, preparations and common terms like adaptogens, nerve tonics, and nervines. My hope is you’ll leave the class feeling connected in community, nourished and inspired to work with herbs! Herbs covered may include: holy basil, motherwort, milky oats, lemon balm, skullcap, saint john's wort, lavender, catnip, passionflower, damiana, valerian, chamomile, ashwagandha, reishi and more!
